Circle (“the App”) is an inventory management and point-of-sale application developed by DCODZ. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum data required to operate the App:

  • Account Information: Full name and email address (used for account creation and authentication).
  • Business Data: Business name, store details, products, inventory, sales, purchases, suppliers, and customer data that you choose to enter.
  • Product Images: Photos captured or uploaded by you for product listings.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or access:

  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Financial or payment card information
  • Contacts or call logs
  • Analytics or tracking data

4. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used strictly to provide the core functionality of the App:

  • Account authentication and management
  • Storing and displaying inventory and sales data
  • Generating reports and business insights

We do not use your data for advertising or tracking purposes.

5. Permissions Usage

  • Camera: Used only for barcode scanning and capturing product images. Access is activated only when you initiate these actions.
  • Photos/Storage: Used to upload and retrieve product images. On Android 13 and above, we use the system photo picker, which does not require full storage access.

6. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on secure, self-hosted infrastructure.

  • Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS encryption.
  • Each business’s data is isolated using strict access controls, ensuring users can only access their own data.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.
Your data remains private and is accessible only to authorized users within your organization.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account remains active.

You can delete your account at any time from within the App. Upon deletion, all associated data is permanently removed, including:

  • Account profile
  • Businesses and stores
  • Products and inventory
  • Sales and purchase records
  • Uploaded images

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for business users aged 18 and above.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
